Food Rescue U.S. uses technology to engage volunteers to transfer fresh food surpluses from local businesses to social service agencies serving those who may be food insecure.

Volunteers are needed to help with Central’s Manna Ministry! We partner with this program by picking up food from Wegmans. The food is then delivered to either the Arlington Food Assistance Center or the Homeless Services Center in Courthouse.

This is a meaningful way to reduce food waste, care for our community, and share compassion in action.

We’re grateful to current volunteers Gene and Jeanie Cross, Jen Liu, and Brian and Wendy Bodson for their continued dedication to this ministry. Their service is a beautiful example of faith at work in the world.
