This Lent we invite you to attend a meal to meet with others in our church community as an opportunity to grow in your discipleship journey as you eat together and discuss our Lenten discipleship questions.

LENTEN SMALL GROUP STUDY
WHAT DOES “ATONEMENT” MEAN?

“For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”  John 3:16.

If you have ever thought that God acted cruelly in this giving, join us for a special Lenten Study on Wednesday evenings or Sunday mornings. Beginning March 1 (Sunday study) and March 4 (Wednesday study), and continuing weekly throughout Lent, we will explore how God’s giving of Jesus Christ was a loving act to bring us to salvation.

Through his incarnation, his life and teaching, his crucifixion and his resurrection, Jesus Christ caused humanity to be saved from sin and death. In our study we will examine the various ways Scripture teaches us what Christ’s atonement means for us today and how we can live into God’s promise of salvation.

Our small group studies are held in the Church Parlor on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Sunday mornings from 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM. Questions? Contact Pastor John at jconway@cumcballston.org.
