UMW Advent Event

All women are invited to join us on Saturday, November 17 at Clarendon UMC as we learn about Las Posadas, a Guatemalan Christmas tradition that reenacts Mary and Joseph's search for a room at the inn. Children 4 years and older are invited to participate and everyone is encouraged to bring maracas or similar noisemakers. Childcare is available with an RSVP to or by calling Clarendon at:

Event takes place at Clarendon UMC, 606 N Irving St, 22201, in Corry Hall, lower level
  • Registration: 8:45-9:15am~~coffee and tea available
  • Program, with carols: 9:15-10:15am
  • Craft: 10:15-10:45am
  • Celebration breakfast, including a special Guatemalan dish: 10:45-11:30am
A monetary collection will benefit Highland Support Project, a UMC mission for indigenous Guatemalan women.
